Job Summary

Hopkinsville Community College invites applications for our part-time Nursing adjunct faculty pool. ON GROUND ONLY.

These are temporary, part-time positions used to fill classroom vacancies as needed when regular full-time faculty are not available due to increased enrollment, workload, or scheduling: days, evenings, weekends, and/or online.

Job Duties

Plans and carries out instruction, instructional activities, and prepares learning materials for special studies. Provides instructions to students in both theory and practice in the particular area of instruction. Prepares lesson plans and maintains records and reports on student attainment and progress. Maintains classroom order and discipline.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Nursing - Faculty teaching associate degree courses designed for transfer to the baccalaureate degree: master's degree in Nursing; or bachelor's degree in Nursing if program meets accreditation standards for ratio of master's to bachelor's degree nurses.
  • Nurse Aide - Faculty teaching associate degree courses not designed for transfer to the baccalaureate degree: bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline, or associate's degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Nurse Aide requires current licensure.
  • Clinical Supervision - Bachelor's degree in qualifying fields preferred. Functions under supervision of full-time faculty.

All nursing faculty must hold current Registered Nurse licensure in Kentucky or compact state.
