Direct Support Professional (PRN)

The direct support professional provides support, personal assistance, training, and quality care to individuals with intellectual disabilities living in a community group home, focusing on helping them achieve greater independence. Responsibilities include acting as a positive role model, engaging individuals in beneficial activities, assisting with personal care and household duties, and ensuring safety including medical needs.

The minimum requirement for this position is a high school diploma or equivalent, with no prior experience explicitly required. Candidates must also pass required pennsylvania clearances, including child abuse, criminal history, and federal fingerprint-Based checks, and verify they are not on any medicaid/Medicare exclusion list.
