The teacher will be responsible for implementing the child's Individualized Education Program (IEP) or Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), promoting student well-being, and managing assigned classroom staff. Duties also include evaluating and assessing students, demonstrating curriculum knowledge, and maintaining professional documentation.

As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. You will work closely with them, by implementing their IEP/IFSP, promoting their well-being, and helping them progress toward their goals. Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in Special Education along with specific NYSED certifications for Students with Disabilities Birth - 2nd grade or equivalent. Essential requirements include fluency in English and a second language, strong organizational and communication skills, and the physical ability to manage classroom safety and move children as needed.
