Core responsibilities

Clinical instructors report to the department chair and are responsible for providing prompt responses to students, offering timely feedback, and demonstrating clinical expertise by selecting, supervising, and evaluating student clinical experiences. Duties also include completing required onboarding, adhering to policies, working mandatory clinical weekends, grading assignments, planning patient assignments, and participating in pre/Post-Clinical activities.

Requirements summary

Candidates must possess a master's degree in nursing from an accredited program and hold an active, unencumbered nys rn license. A minimum of five years of varied rn experience, including current acute care hospital experience and prior experience supervising nursing students or new graduate rns, is required.
