The Department of Neurology at the University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville (UFCOMJ) is pleased to announce the search for faculty for the newly-established Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the non-tenure level of Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor. The position is in line with the vision of the University of Florida to provide state-of-the-art PM&R services throughout Northeast Florida. A 48-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit is currently being established at the UF Health Jacksonville North campus in partnership with Select Medical.
We seek BC/BE physiatrists at the Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor level with subspecialty training in Pain Management. The desired candidate should have a strong clinical focus as well as an interest in teaching and quality initiatives. Opportunities for future leadership growth are available.
UFCOMJ is well-positioned to become a leader in PM&R services in Northeast Florida. It has a Level 1 Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Program with a large patient network through Northeast Florida. In addition, the Departments of Neurology and Neurosurgery are home to comprehensive multiple sclerosis, movement disorder, and spine programs, as well as an ALS Center of Excellence. The Department of Orthopedics has subspecialties in hand surgery, trauma, and sports, and has received nursing accreditation as a center of excellence in total hip and knee replacement.
The successful candidate will report to Dr. Ramon Bautista, Professor and Chair of Neurology and the Phyllis Sohn Endowed Chair in Neurosciences.
