After School Counselor

The after school counselor is responsible for providing program leadership to a specific after-School student group, which includes maintaining discipline and planning and implementing open period activities. This role also involves assisting management with branch activities, maintaining equipment, and keeping accurate reports and attendance records.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old and a junior in high school, with no prior experience required, though exposure to small structured group work is beneficial. A positive attitude aligned with the ymca's mission is essential, along with the physical ability to perform tasks like lifting up to 25 lbs.
