The After School Counselor is responsible for providing program leadership to a specific after-school student group under supervision, which includes maintaining discipline and remaining with the group at all times. Part Time Under supervision of the Site Coordinator/Childcare Director/Program Director/Branch Director and consistent with the Christian mission of the YMCA, the afterschool counselor is responsible for providing program leadership in an afterschool student group. The Counselor will assist the Childcare Director/Program Director/Branch Manager/Regional VP with various branch activities such as special events, and other activities that occur on various occasions.

Follow emergency procedures in case of accidents.
Remain with after school group at all times.
Plan and implement open period activities.
Maintain after school equipment.
Maintain reports and attendance records.
Follow established after school procedures and guidelines.
