About the role

The Adjunct Professor is responsible for providing professional quality teaching, which includes conducting courses within the prescribed curriculum and preparing and delivering lectures to enrolled students. Duties also involve compiling, administering, and grading examinations, alongside providing necessary academic assistance to students.

Florida SouthWestern State College is accepting resumes in search of an Adjunct Professor in the School of Education. FSWs' adjunct professors are responsible for providing professional quality work as a teaching faculty member. Work includes conducting and teaching courses within the prescribed curriculum for students enrolled at the College; preparing and delivering lectures to students; compiling, administering and grading examinations; and providing academic assistance to students as needed. As an FSW adjunct, you have the opportunity to directly impact the college mission to inspire our students to 'Dedicate to Graduate'.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Doctoral or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the teaching discipline or a master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the teaching discipline)
  • Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught and currency in the discipline

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Doctoral or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution in the teaching discipline, or a master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours in the discipline.
