Part-time Children's Center Associate Teacher

The associate teacher assists and supports classroom teachers in maintaining a warm and caring environment for young children, which includes modeling cooperative behavior and providing a nurturing adult role model. Responsibilities also involve supervising indoor and outdoor activities to ensure child safety, resolving concerns with teachers and the director, and assisting with classroom maintenance and hygiene tasks like changing diapers.

Candidates must have a minimum of nine credits in early childhood education/Development, preferably twelve credits including a course in child growth and development, and must possess or be willing to obtain cpr and first aid certification. Required experience includes working with infants, toddlers, pre-School, and kindergarten-Age children, and applicants must be at least 18 years old.
