Teacher Assistant

The teacher assistant assists the head start teacher in delivering the classroom curriculum and ensures that the classroom environment is conducive to learning. They maintain supervision of children at all times and build positive relationships with students.

A high school diploma or ged with a child development associate (Cda) credential is required, while an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education is preferred. Previous classroom experience and fluency in english and spanish are desirable.
