Job description

HOURS

  • Monday- 10:30a-5:30p (break 2:45-3:15p)
  • Tuesday- 10:30-5:30p (break 2-2:30p)
  • Wednesday- 1:30p-5:30p
  • Thursday- 12p-5:30p
  • Friday- 10a-5:30p (break 12-12:30p)

Substitute hours available as needed

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Program Implementation

  • Design and develop a diverse range of P.E. activities that cater to the interests and developmental needs of children.
  • Integrate Montessori principles and values into the P.E. curriculum.
  • Follow and implement after school daily schedule

Student Supervision and Engagement

  • Supervise students during P.E. to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Supervise students during after school to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Address any behavioral issues promptly and in accordance with school policies.
  • Communication and Collaboration
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate activities and share resources.

Classroom Management and Organization

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom environment.
  • Ensure that all materials and equipment are used responsibly and returned to their proper places.
  • Monitor and manage attendance records and ensure accurate documentation

Safety and Closing Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of all students at all times during a shift and follow MGRI emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Follow established protocols for closing the school, including securing all doors and windows, turning off lights, and setting the alarm system.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate personnel.

Additional Duties

  • Participate in staff meetings and adhere to all MGRI policies and procedures.
  • Assist with school-wide events and activities as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
