Self Direction Coach

The self direction coach implements services and supports outlined in the individualized community habilitation plan, working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities to help them achieve their goals. This involves providing skill building and support services within the person's home and community to promote independence and quality of life.

A high school diploma or ged is required, though an associate's degree in psychology or a related field is preferred. Candidates must possess an understanding of developmental disabilities and behavior management, and at least one year of related experience is preferred, although no previous experience is needed as paid training is provided.
