Location: Willie Jeffries School of Excellence
Position Type: On-Call, Non-Exempt
Reports To: Principal
Position Overview
The Daily Substitute is responsible for temporarily filling in for teachers who are absent. This role requires the ability to follow lesson plans and manage classrooms effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans left by the absent teacher.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a productive learning environment.
- Provide support to students in completing assignments.
- Maintain a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
- Report any concerns or issues to the principal.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively; sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Work Environment
