Academic Advisor

The academic advisor provides student-Centered support and guidance to undergraduate business majors concerning university policies, course selection, registration, and co-Op scheduling to enhance academic progression and retention. This role involves serving as a liaison between various university stakeholders and utilizing university systems while adhering strictly to confidentiality and privacy regulations like ferpa and sevis.

A master’s degree is required, preferably in counseling, human services, or higher education, along with a minimum of three to four years of relevant work or educational experience, ideally in a higher education setting. Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills, demonstrated counseling ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to remain calm under pressure while collaborating effectively in a team.
