Core responsibilities
This role functions as a primary mental health and alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs (Atod) prevention educator within the designated area, involving the development and presentation of educational programs to the target population. The presenter will also conduct research on relevant topics and act as an operational liaison between the center and the community.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a bachelor of science degree in a human services related field along with one year of experience in substance abuse, including specific hours in prevention, education training, and supervised practical experience across various settings. A signed code of ethics form or regular direct supervision by the prevention director is also mandatory.
