Swim Instructor

The swim instructor will lead fun and engaging swim classes for all ages, focusing on building confidence, self-Esteem, and water safety skills while following the ymca swim lessons curriculum. Essential duties include building relationships with participants, enforcing safety procedures, completing feedback forms, and ensuring class continuity by finding substitutes when necessary.

Candidates must be at least 16 years old and possess cpr certification before shadowing/Instructing, though six months of experience working with children is preferred. The role requires the ability to correctly demonstrate and assess swim skills both in and out of the water, strong communication skills, and a willingness to be in the pool to actively lead and support participants.
