Core responsibilities
Residential assistants will provide positive support, caring assistance, and responsible supervision to vulnerable youth, potentially diagnosed on the autism spectrum, at the sawtelle hall residential treatment facility. Key duties involve participating in the therapeutic treatment team, understanding resident goals, carrying out interventions, and documenting success or suggesting new therapeutic goals.
Requirements summary
Applicants generally need a bachelor's degree in a related social service field like psychology, sociology, or education, with psychology being preferred. Alternatively, candidates with a high school diploma/Ged require three or more years of experience working with youth in a group or behavioral setting, and a valid driver's license is mandatory for all applicants.
