The Assistant Coach will assist in planning, instructing, and operating the swim team and instructional programs, focusing on developing swimmers aged 10 and under through proper stroke technique and racing fundamentals. Key duties include supporting group practices, fostering positive relationships, monitoring safety, and maintaining records.
The Rec-Plex Sharks are seeking a dedicated Assistant Swim Coach specializing in swimmers ages 10 and under to join our competitive coaching staff. This position focuses on developing young swimmers through instruction in proper stroke technique, fundamentals of racing, and positive team habits appropriate for their age and skill level.
The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach and Head Group Coach to support group practices, evaluate developing swimmers, and help create a positive and encouraging environment for athletes and their families. The preferred start date for this position is April.
Normal Shift: Varies
Must be 16 or 17 years of age and currently enrolled in high school.
Must hold a current USA Swimming Junior Coach Membership or obtain within thirty (30) days of employment.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
