Special Educator - Per Diem (Home/Community Based Program)

The special educator will evaluate and deliver appropriate special education services based on individualized academic, social, and behavioral needs, implementing curriculum and maintaining accurate documentation compliant with regulatory agencies. Key duties include planning lessons based on iep/Ifsp goals, collecting data, submitting progress reports, and addressing behavioral needs using positive supports.

Candidates must meet specific educational requirements, either a bachelor's (Special educator i) or master's degree (Special educator ii), along with holding relevant new york state certification for students with disabilities across various grade levels. Prior special education teaching experience is preferred, and the role may involve physical aspects like lifting and transferring students.
