The intern will learn athletic performance enhancement, program development, and the daily maintenance of a weight room, involving daily hours in the Athletic Performance center, Monday through Friday, and occasional Saturdays. Instructional sessions will be held weekly with strength coaches focusing on the intern's predetermined goals.
Candidates must be at the Junior level status or higher pursuing a relevant bachelor’s degree and possess a current BLS certification while being enrolled in a program requiring an internship for credit. Essential qualifications include experience with sports performance equipment, willingness to learn coaching techniques, aptitude for strength training software, and strong communication skills.
10-11 weeks for approximately 30 hours a week. This is an uncompensated position.
