a culture of care, compassion, and human connection. We serve a wide variety of patients, and are currently seeking a Per Diem Athletic Trainer for the Clayton County School District. Our AT’s cover ALL sports and home games, travel with football and any other sport based on need of the athletes, coaches and Athletic Directors discretion. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for injury prevention and treatment of the athletes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the assisting in the administration of all aspects of injury/illness prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, rehabilitation, and health care education and counseling for student athletes participating in the athletics program.
• This may include some nights, weekends, occasional holidays, and travel as necessary with selected teams.
• Documentation of and maintaining accurate injury records.
• Organization of rehabilitation and injury prevention programs.
• Cooperation and collaboration with strength and conditioning staff.
• Coordination and oversight of all necessary medical referrals.
• Collaboration with team physicians, physical therapists, and other allied health-care professional providers.
• Direct communication with coaches, parents, student-athletes, athletic administration, and other stakeholders when appropriate.
• Athletic Training Room coverage.
• This will include being present in the Athletic Training Room during scheduled open hours to see walk-in athletes.
• Perform other duties and administrative tasks as assigned and commensurate with the normal activities related to sport athletic training service.
• Promote and support the strategic plan of the School Athletics and the Emory vision of Sports Medicine Outreach.
