About the role

The teacher will be responsible for creating a safe, effective, and student-centered learning environment that fosters curiosity and motivates students to achieve their full potential academically and personally. Responsibilities also include analyzing data to inform instruction, building communication with parents and the community, and attending all required professional development and team meetings.

Compensation

Capital Preparatory Schools offers competitive salaries for first-year Illuminators (teachers), ranging from $62,784 for non-certified bachelor's degree holders to $79,200 for those with a master's degree and certification. Salary is commensurate with years of lead teaching experience, education level and certification status. Capital Preparatory Schools offers a comprehensive benefits package. This is a full-time, full-year exempt position.

Requirements

Candidates should possess exemplary professional values and a commitment to student engagement and success, with three years of teaching experience preferred, along with experience in data analysis to drive instruction. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Graduate degree preferred, and NYS certification is preferred, though a commitment to achieving certification is mandatory.
