Swim Instructor - Litehouse/Sandpoint

The swim instructor is responsible for planning and teaching swim lessons tailored to various ability levels according to ymca standards, while also managing equipment and enforcing facility safety rules. This role involves monitoring participant progress, providing feedback to participants and families, tracking attendance, and responding to emergencies following protocol.

Candidates must be at least 15 years old and preferably hold a ymca swim lesson instructor certification, demonstrating excellent communication and the ability to relate effectively to diverse community members. Successful applicants must complete required ymca training upon hire and be able to perform essential physical duties, including demonstrating swimming skills and assisting swimmers in the water.
