Job description

Adat Shalom Preschool – Pittsburgh Area Adat Shalom Preschool is seeking warm, nurturing, and collaborative teachers to join our early childhood team for the upcoming school year. Our program serves children ages 15 months through Pre-K, and classrooms focus on learning through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships. We are a welcoming community where teachers work together to create joyful learning environments that support the social, emotional, and developmental growth of young children.

Responsibilities

Create a warm and engaging classroom environment where children feel safe and supported Support children’s social-emotional development, independence, and curiosity Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences Supervise children and maintain a safe classroom environment Support daily routines including arrival, snack, toileting/diapering, and transitions Work collaboratively with co-teachers and preschool staff Communicate positively and professionally with families Maintain organized classroom materials and shared school spaces Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as needed

Qualifications

Experience working with young children (15 months–5 years) preferred Background in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred Warm, patient, and reliable Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to actively engage with young children throughout the day
