The Martial Arts Instructor position is for evenings, teaching beginners - advanced rank students. ACTIVSTARS allows our Martial Art Instructors to teach their primary style, utilizing the ACTIVSTARS curriculum guidelines. Our class locations are held year-round, and we are looking for committed and dedicated instructors for long-term positions.
Teaching responsibilities include class preparations, teaching students, overseeing class check-in, basic record-keeping, and promoting tournaments, camps, or clinics. Paid training sessions will cover our teaching guidelines, records, and onsite training with a veteran instructor. This is truly one of the most fun part-time jobs you can imagine for great pay!
$15 - $30+/hr. Teaching pay is based on student rate, averaging between $15-$30+/hr. Our Instructors average $300 - $400 per month, teaching just ONE day a week! Instructors may take on additional days based on availability. Ideal for college students, parents, & martial artists who have an established career!
Applicants must possess a certified Black Belt in a traditional, forms-based martial art style such as Karate, Taekwondo, Kenpo, or Kung Fu, and must know kata/forms. Candidates also need a solid technical foundation, knowledge of self-defense skills, be 18 or older, and have reliable transportation.
