Librarian - Catalog - Collection Services

The catalog librarian will collaborate with the collection services manager and team to ensure the accurate cataloging and processing of materials across all formats, maintaining an organized and accessible library collection. Key duties include cataloging materials using national and local standards, creating original records, assisting with authority control, and mentoring staff on cataloging best practices.

Candidates must possess a college degree and an m.l.s. Degree from an a.l.a. Accredited program, along with strong knowledge of current cataloging practices like lcsh and ddc. Preferred qualifications include professional experience in cataloging and library automation, excellent teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
