Core responsibilities

The registered behavior technician implements behavioral health and educational services using applied behavior analysis principles for individuals diagnosed with autism, related mental health disorders, and/Or intellectual disabilities in various group settings. This role includes receiving supervision and training from behavior analytic or behavioral health supervisors through observation and team meetings.

Requirements summary

Minimum qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalent plus three or more years of experience in behavioral health, human services, or mental health, along with maintaining registered behavior technician certification. Candidates must also be able to obtain and maintain first aid and cpr certifications.
