  • Franciscan Health Lafayette Central 1501 Hartford St Lafayette, Indiana 47904 The Community Educator I is responsible for delivering high-quality health education and training to diverse populations within the community.
  • This role focuses on promoting health literacy, wellness, and injury prevention through engaging and accessible programming, with a strong emphasis on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
  • The instructor facilitates classes in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) or equivalent certification guidelines, tailoring content to meet the needs of various audiences, including parents, caregivers, and the general public.

  • Communicate in a professional manner with class participants, patients, visitors, coworkers and staff, and utilizes the AIDET and HEAT service methods.
  • Provide program evaluation for all education offerings; updates program based on evaluation results.
  • Coordinate scheduling and/or class requirements based on facility needs.
