On Call Substitute Teacher

Core responsibilities
The on-Call substitute teacher supports daily classroom operations when regular teachers are absent by assisting in implementing high-Quality learning experiences, daily lesson planning, and interacting with parents and volunteers. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records, supervising children's health and safety, and ensuring the cleanliness of the learning environment.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess proper training in early childhood education, such as a child development associate credential (Cda), an associate’s degree in child development, or equivalent continuing education approved by the michigan department of education. Preferred qualifications include one year of preschool teaching experience and familiarity with the highscope approach, alongside strong positive communication and cultural sensitivity.
