We’re seeking a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Preschool Special Education team, supporting children ages 3–5 as they develop vital fine motor, sensory processing, and self-help skills for school readiness and independence. As part of a caring, multidisciplinary team, you’ll use creative, play-based therapy to help each child build confidence and success in the classroom and beyond.

• Functions of
• Position: Conduct evaluations to assess fine motor, sensory-motor, and self-care skills. Develop and implement individual and group therapy sessions aligned with IEP goals. Incorporate sensory integration and adaptive strategies to promote participation and self-regulation. Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate therapy techniques into daily routines. Document progress, participate in IEP meetings, and ensure compliance with program standards. Qualifications What We’re Looking For Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (required) Valid NYS license and NBCOT certification (required) Experience with preschool or pediatric populations preferred Strong knowledge of sensory integration and play-based interventions Excellent communication and collaboration skills Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move between classrooms throughout the day May need to bend, stoop, lift, or push wheelchairs when assisting children Use hands for therapeutic tools and activities Occasionally perform physical intervention techniques to support children safely Vision requirements include close and distance vision with the ability to maintain focus Why You’ll Love It Here ✔ Collaborative, mission-driven team ✔ Opportunities for creativity and professional growth ✔ Rewarding work that makes a lasting impact Help shape brighter futures—apply today!
