About the role

The primary role involves delivering consistent, individualized academic instruction aligned with state standards or student IEPs/504 plans while simultaneously supporting students' emotional, behavioral, and therapeutic needs. This includes developing and implementing IEP plans, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with student reintegration into home schools.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm;

Sign on bonus: $5,000 ($1,250 at 3 months; $1,250 at 6 months; $2,500 at 12 months)

Knowledge related to IEP development and special education compliance, behavioral strategies and trauma-informed education

Knowledge of curriculum and/or program development and evaluation

Job Description: Summary:

The primary responsibilities of the Academic Teacher, Crisis Services is to provide consistent, individualized education that ensures students continue making academic progress while also supporting their emotional, behavioral and therapeutic needs.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver academic instruction aligned with state standards and/or students’ IEPs/504 plans
  • Support social-emotional and behavioral needs of students served
  • Complete documentation timely and accurately
  • Develop and implement IEP plans as needed utilizing testing and assessment data
  • Maintain student records in alignment with regulatory procedures
  • Assist with reintegration into home schools
  • Maintain training as required and requested
  • Complete all other relevant responsibilities assigned by the supervisor
  • Driving and travel may be required
