We are currently hiring Certified Bilingual Spanish Substitute Teachers for the 2025-26 school year to support KIPP Texas schools in Houston. You can start the interview process right away!

You’ll need

  • 1+ year(s) working with students in both English and Spanish settings (classroom, tutoring, coaching, camps, etc.)
  • Pro tip: To put your best foot forward, please include all relevant experience working with students on your resume to be considered for this role!
  • One of the following
  • Texas
  • Teacher
  • Certifications (proof of valid certification required):
  • Generalist (EC–6) with Bilingual Supplemental
  • Bilingual Generalist – Spanish (EC–4)
  • Minimum of 48 college credit hours
  • Confidence to manage a classroom of students
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Strong belief that every child has a unique & powerful gift to share with the world
  • Ability to pass state & federal background checks
  • Out-of-pocket costs will be reimbursed after 10 teaching assignments

*A valid Texas Teacher’s certificate is required for all Pre-K4 and Special Education teaching positions. Proof of licensure will be required upon applying.
