Head Start Family Advocate

This position manages a caseload of up to 40 participants (Ages 0-5) and their families, acting as a liaison between home, classroom, and community settings to help families achieve goals related to health, financial security, and parenting skills. Responsibilities include conducting home visits, promoting family engagement, assisting with health and wellness promotion, supporting enrollment, and providing classroom assistance as needed.

Candidates must possess a child-Development associate certificate (Cda) or meet specific educational/Experience requirements in lieu of a cda, along with one year of experience working with 0-5-Year-Olds in a childcare setting. A valid driver's license, personal vehicle, active enrollment in the oregon childcare division central background registry, and the ability to obtain cpr/First aid certification are mandatory.
