Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Requirements/Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, or can show active enrollment in one of these college programs. High school diploma required and OFFICIAL transcripts. Candidates must have knowledge, understanding and practical experience working with the youngest children. Must be at least 19 years old. Certificate showing completion of Mandated Reporter Training. First Aid, CPR and Heimlich Maneuver certified.
  • Personal qualifications: Licensing Standards for Day Care Centers, emotional maturity, willingness to cooperate with the aims of the program, respect for children and adults, flexibility, patience, good personal hygiene, and physical and mental health which does not interfere with responsibilities.
