Region 2 - Vocational Support Advisor

The vocational support advisor plays a vital role in helping clients overcome employment barriers and achieve their short-Term and long-Term employment and training goals by connecting them with opportunities leading to sustainable jobs. Responsibilities include coordinating services with dvr/Dbvi, recruiting businesses for vr services, educating clients and employers on accommodations, and managing complex stakeholder relationships while maintaining confidentiality.

Minimum qualifications require a high school diploma or equivalency combined with experience working with people with disabilities or developing business relationships, along with a solid understanding of job search techniques. Candidates must also possess computer proficiency, excellent communication skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain acre certification within six months.
