About the role

The Speech Language Pathologist collaborates with the special education teacher on daily schedules, testing schedules, and annual meetings, while also providing updated student lists for the master Special Education list.

This position is scheduled to work 28 hours per week. School Information

Duties and Responsibilities

The SLP works in collaboration with the special education teacher in the formation of daily schedules, testing schedules, and annual meetings. The SLP also supplies the special education teacher with current speech/language student lists so he/she can maintain a master Special Education list. NHA provides specially designed instruction developed to meet the unique needs of each child resulting from his/her disability such as, resource room, inclusion and/or pullout services.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology, or Communicative Sciences and Disorders, and Limited Speech Language Pathology License issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs LARA); or Speech Language Pathology license issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). Candidates with experience working with at-risk students is preferred, if applicable to the school.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Sciences and Disorders, along with the appropriate Speech Language Pathology license from LARA.
