- Range: $25.00 - $30.00 HourlyWe are seeking an experienced Behavior Technician, RBT, or interventionist to work with adults with autism. This newly created role involves direct implementation of behavior support plans and skill-building instruction. It will also involve inter-agency collaboration with behavior consultants.
- Please note: This position does not provide BCBA or BCBA clinical supervision required for obtaining or maintaining RBT certification. Applicants must have prior experience as a behavior technician/interventionist with a strong background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This position reports administratively to the Behavior Specialist to ensure consistent and effective program implementation. Essential Functions Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill-building programs. Provide support and instruction to adults with autism, both individually and in small groups. Provide support and guidance to Direct Support Professionals (DSP) paired with our individual clients. Collect, analyze, and maintain accurate data on behavior and skill acquisition. Assist Linwood's Behavior Specialist in program planning, evaluation, and adaptation of instructional strategies. Support daily living skills, community participation, vocational skill-building, and recreational activities. Maintain professional, confidential, and compliant documentation according to agency policies. Assist with preparation of instructional materials, including visual supports, task analyses, token economies, and related materials. Qualifications Experience as a Behavior Technician, RBT, or Interventionist working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. Strong background in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques. High school diploma or GED. Ability to implement behavior plans and interventions effectively. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to maintain accurate records and handle confidential information professionally.

College coursework in Behavior Analysis, Education, Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, Instructional Design, TESOL, Disability Studies, Sociology, Social Work, Management, Nursing, Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Therapeutic Recreation, Rehabilitation Sciences, Public Health, Health Education, Counseling, Mental Health, Health and Human Services, Audiology, Adapted Physical Education, Kinesiology, Human Development, Assistive Technology, Accessibility Studies, or a related field. Completion of the MSDE ParaPro Assessment. Prior experience mentoring staff. Experience in community-based programming for adults with autism. Abilities Demonstrate interest and ability to address the developmental and social-emotional needs of adults with developmental disabilities. Be energetic, enthusiastic, patient, and understanding. Demonstrate understanding of fundamental rights and self-determination. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Linwood's philosophy and the ability to teach Linwood's methods and philosophy to others. Physical Demands and Work Environment Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Regularly exposed to weather conditions during travel to and from worksites and appointments. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, run, or crawl. Must be able to work under regular, moderate levels of stress. Must be able to lift and move up to 10 lbs. regularly, and occasionally lift and move up to50 lbs. Work Environment & Schedule Full-time position (35hrs, 40hrs a week) Work may occur in program sites, residential settings, or community locations. Flexible schedule may include weekdays, evenings, or occasional weekends.
