- Overview: As an Elementary Grade Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for one of our First or Second Grade classrooms. You will be collaborating in close partnership with your assistant teacher to ensure students have an exceptional learning experience. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the early elementary experience for our students. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or a related field. A minimum of two years experience working in early childhood settings. Demonstrate a wide and deep knowledge of the development of children between the ages of six and eight. Experience of developing and implementing engaging learning through precise lesson planning and responsive teaching. Strong communication skills with the ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, where children with different learning profiles flourish. A willingness to contribute to the grade level and division wide faculty team. A proven commitment to continuing personal professional development and putting your expertise into daily classroom practice that improves student learning. Excellent ability in written and spoken English. A demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate young children. Passion for fostering a sense of belonging, curiosity, play and learning. Physical Requirements Must be able to traverse the campus and adjust one's tone and height by bending or leaning in order to teach children. Must be able to provide adequate supervision to students in varied settings, including outdoor classrooms and the greenhouse. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and perform standard classroom/lab tasks.
