Description Make a Difference Where It Matters Most Parc Center for Disabilities supports children with developmental delays and disabilities—and the families who care for them. Through our nationally recognized Caregiver Relief Services program, we provide dependable, compassionate in-home respite so families can take short breaks knowing their child is safe and supported. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, meaningful work, and the chance to make a real impact in your community.

Position Summary

The Caregiver Relief Family Care Partner delivers high-quality, one-on-one respite care to children and their families with developmental delays and/or disabilities, including those impacted by trauma, within their home environment. This role focuses on empowering families through reliable support, building trusted and individualized relationships, and promoting safety, consistency, and compassionate, family-centered care. The Caregiver Relief Family Care Partner reports directly to the Caregiver Relief Services Manager.

Requirements

Provide short-term, one-on-one care to children in their home or within community settings, supporting families during outings, appointments, or activities Follow care plans and family guidelines Assist with supervision, meals, personal care, and activities Promote independence, dignity, and positive social interaction at all times Ensure safety during all visits Communicate with families and staff Complete accurate documentation Attend monthly meetings via zoom or in-person Use trauma-informed care practices Coordinate schedules with families and program staff Work 1 weekend day a month Must work a minimum of 10 hours per month Physical Requirements: Supervise children for extended periods Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach Lift or assist up to 45 lbs. (with or without accommodation) Assist with mobility and transfers Respond quickly to emergencies Engage in floor play and physical activities Monitor children visually and audibly Work in varied home environments Education, Training and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year experience in childcare or working with individuals with disabilities.
