  • Shift: DayJOB SUMMARY This position will develop clinical treatment plans and provide individual, family, and crisis intervention counseling. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provide counseling in a clinic setting. Facilitate specialized group sessions. Coordinate with the client care team to develop treatment plans. Assess and report on client progress. Make appropriate referrals during treatment and for aftercare follow-up. Prepare progress and discharge or termination letters for social workers and the court system. Serve as a guide for self-sufficiency and a lifestyle free of substance abuse. Keep current and accurate records. Interact professionally with the client and the client’s family or representatives. Consider the client’s cultural, psychological, social, and environmental factors. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsKNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES Knowledge of counseling best practices. Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health issues. Ability to develop substance abuse treatment plans. High level of professionalism, client service, and interpersonal skills. Ability to perform duties skillfully and effectively. Knowledge of Microsoft applications. Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining a necessary degree of confidentiality. Ability to positively and effectively represent the organization. Ability to work in culturally and racially diverse populations and in lower socio-economic conditions. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 years of related experience. CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSURE / LANGUAGE Certified with California SUD licensing agency. Must be able to pass required pre-employment health and background screening. Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. BLS/CPR certified. Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto a description of the vehicle used, proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance. El Proyecto will reimburse employees for their mileage at the current rate set by the Internal Revenue Service. To receive mileage reimbursement, the employee must log their mileage and submit the mileage expense report to their Appropriate Administrator.
