AFT Employment Type: 35 hours per week/Full-time Internal salary: Range 21/$63,833.23 - $102,164.26 External salary: Range 21/$63,833.23 - $73,415.99 UNION POSITIONS: The internal salary range is used for applicants who are current NJ state employees with underlying classified status for promotional calculations who meet the requirements below. The external salary range is used for candidates who are not NJ state employees who meet the requirements below. Position Overview

Administration of all TCNJ Police Department electronic systems and services. Provide support and direction with technical expertise and knowledge of the current systems and ensure that systems are utilized to their full potential. Maintain detailed documentation of the computing environment, system configurations, and technical procedures. Triage support with TCNJ IT staff, government agencies, and vendors. Project management for new technical projects and initiatives. Deploy updates, troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, and train colleagues on the proper use of Police Department systems. Research trends and emerging technology enhancements for Campus Police. Suggest improvements and efficiencies in current operational procedures. Develop, maintain, and test business continuity plans, and emergency operations.

Responsibilities

Primarily responsible for administering, maintaining, and updating Campus Safety and Access Control systems. Assisting the TCNJ Police Department with their technical needs, and troubleshooting and resolving technical or electronic issues. Setup, configure, install, and maintain specialized police department and access control hardware, software, and electronics. Administer the S2 Card Access system. Ensure data feeds are working as intended and the system is operational. Assist with system and access plan configuration. Troubleshoot card access issues and triage vendor support. Creating, reviewing, and updating business continuity and emergency operations plans. Serves as a liaison between the Campus Safety department, the TCNJ IT department, vendors, and partner agencies with regard to computer technology issues, training, and one-on-one instruction. Keeps informed and up to date on new and emerging technologies to better serve the campus needs, and the latest technical threats and cybersecurity concerns that may affect the campus. Coordinates TCNJ Police Department IT budget requests with the TCNJ IT Business Office. Coordinates resources and provides expertise on technical, functional, and/or departmental topics during the development, integration, and implementation of new systems and applications Provides and/or plans for ongoing maintenance and administration of systems and applications. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Required: Education Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree supplemented by a Master's degree in a field related to the position to be filled or equivalency as determined by the appointing authority. Two years professional experience in an institution of higher education or in education, higher education or other field that is directly related to the functions of the position to be filled or equivalency as determined by the appointing authority. The minimum education experience standards for positions classified under this class title will vary depending upon the requirements of the specific position to be filled. In each case, these minimums will be determined at the discretion of the appointing authority. Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute required experience on a year-for-year basis (30 credit hours is considered one year of college.) A Ph.D. or an Ed. D. degree may be substituted for two years of the required experience. Analytical and technical problem solving skills. General proficiency with software, hardware and operating systems. Ability to multitask in a demanding environment. Strong client-service orientation. Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
