About the role

The Speech Language Pathologist collaborates with the special education teacher on scheduling, testing, and annual meetings, and provides updated student lists for maintaining the master Special Education list. The role involves delivering specially designed instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of each child through resource room, inclusion, and/or pullout services.

Duties and Responsibilities

The SLP works in collaboration with the special education teacher in the formation of daily schedules, testing schedules, and annual meetings. The SLP also supplies the special education teacher with current speech/language student lists so he/she can maintain a master Special Education list. NHA provides specially designed instruction developed to meet the unique needs of each child resulting from his/her disability such as, resource room, inclusion and/or pullout services.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology, or Communicative Sciences and Disorders, and Limited Speech Language Pathology License issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs LARA); or Speech Language Pathology license issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Sciences and Disorders. Applicants are also required to hold either a Limited Speech Language Pathology License or a full Speech Language Pathology license issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
