Assistant Teacher

The assistant teacher supports the lead teacher in implementing the curriculum by planning and executing developmentally appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in preschool children. This role also involves maintaining a safe, stimulating classroom environment, assisting with daily care needs, and engaging positively with children and their families.

Candidates must possess a passion for early childhood education, strong communication skills, and a commitment to the head start mission, requiring a minimum of a high school diploma or ged, with a cda credential preferred. Essential requirements include passing a background check, obtaining cpr/First aid certification, reliable transportation, and the physical ability to actively engage with and lift young children.
