Swim Instructor II

The swim instructor ii is responsible for teaching swim lessons to all age groups and skill levels, maintaining a positive atmosphere, and providing direct leadership and instruction in group, private, or adaptive swim classes. This role involves creating and implementing lesson plans, teaching proper techniques, providing feedback, ensuring safety, and managing student behavior during lessons.

Candidates must possess a ymca swim instructor certification or equivalent, be at least 17 years old, and hold current cpr, aed, basic first aid, and emergency oxygen certifications. A minimum of 6 months of relevant experience, strong swimming skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to adapt teaching methods for different learners are required.
