- Opportunities: Classroom Volunteer – Assist with developmentally appropriate activities, lesson plans, and special classroom activities. Food Service Volunteer - Assist with activities performed in the center kitchen and meal times with children. Office Volunteer – Perform clerical duties, such as word processing, photocopying/scanning, and filing. Answer and forward telephone calls and welcomes visitors. Speakers/Presenters – Share your knowledge in your area of expertise by presenting your information to student, parents, or program staff. Manual Labor – (Painting, Landscaping, Repairing) Help to maintain a clean environment in our facilities by cleaning toys, furniture, or office space. To ensure a safe environment for all, Administration and Center volunteers are subject to a background check before beginning volunteer service. 1302.90, R9-5-203 Additionally, Frequent Volunteers at a Center are required to complete/provide the following prior to volunteering: Verification of immunizations - (Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis (Tdap) and Tuberculosis skin test (Tb) 1302.94, R9-5-402 Obtain a fingerprint clearance card A.R.S. §36-883.02 c, R9-5-203 Complete a criminal history affidavit A.R.S. §36-883.02 c, R9-5-203 and other forms Volunteer orientation 1302.92(a), R9-5-403 Employment reference check A.R.S. §36-883.02.D.
