Core responsibilities
The special education paraeducator will assist students with academic, nonacademic, social, health, and emotional needs in special education classrooms. They will also support teachers in meeting the iep needs of students and provide supported instruction.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold or be eligible for an illinois state board of education paraprofessional license and have previous experience with individuals with disabilities. They must also be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and maintain current cpr and safety care certifications.
