- Type: Part-Time Cares for group preschool children at Prestonwood Baptist Church (“PBC”) during weekly worship services, Wednesday evening activities, Bible studies, and special events.
Responsibilities
Teach Biblical thoughts and activities through the leadership of the class Director Give instruction to children regarding behavior and safety Provide prompt and professional care for children’s physical, emotional and social needs, according to the developmental level of the child Participate or instruct children in games Recommend or initiate measures to control behavior in children May escort children to designated activities Perform sanitation duties in classroom, such as cleaning and sanitizing toys, cribs, swings, etc. Read to children, and teach simple painting, drawing, handwork, and songs May assist at greeter check in desk Other duties as assigned Qualifications Requirements: Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of a Bible believing and preaching ministry Have a joyful passion for children Work church wide special events as needed Work a regular weekly schedule as needed Able to perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as in climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, where the activities often also require considerable use of the arms and legs, and able to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance Prior experience caring for infants and young children preferred
