Overview
Risher Amenity Management is looking for a part-time Water Aerobics Group Fitness Instructor to lead aquatic fitness classes for community residents. The instructor’s top priority is delivering a fun, safe, and motivating class experience while promoting healthy lifestyles and well-being. Additional responsibilities include building positive relationships with participants and representing Risher Amenity Management in a professional manner.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop positive relationships with class participants through motivational instruction and education Prepare and lead a fun and effective group class based on the class description Create a welcoming environment for participants of every fitness level Monitor participants during class by leading them in form, technique, modifications, and breathing cues Assist participants with correcting form and providing alternative movements as needed Clean and organize the group fitness space before and after each class Maintain a record of classes taught or subbed, including attendance numbers Secure substitute instructors to cover classes when needed Represent Risher Amenity Management professionally, greeting residents as they enter and leave class Maintain all current and required certifications

- Skills/Abilities: Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of safe exercise technique and principles, with a general understanding of human anatomy and kinesiology Knowledge of group fitness teaching strategies, including the incorporation of music, tempo, and cueing techniques Ability to effectively demonstrate and modify movements for all fitness levels Knowledge of water aerobics program design, modifications, and progressive exercise implementation Ability to be self-sufficient in handling job responsibilities Ability to maintain regular attendance and be punctual Must be a team player and possess a positive attitude Previous water aerobics or group fitness experience preferred
