Chaplaincy Resident

The chaplaincy resident will complete a yearlong course of clinical pastoral education training under direct supervision, gaining sophisticated training in providing spiritual care services, including support and ritualistic needs for patients, families, and staff. Duties involve direct pastoral care, chart documentation, multidisciplinary collaboration, participation in supervision sessions, and supporting various departmental and spiritual care initiatives.

A bachelor’s degree is required, though a master’s degree is preferred, with candidates ideally enrolled in or having completed a master of divinity program. Applicants must possess experience providing spiritual care in a patient setting, including a minimum of 400 supervised hours, and must have at least one unit of accredited clinical pastoral education upon hire.
