The substitute teacher is responsible for providing curriculum materials, establishing rules for behavior using indirect guidance, and setting clear objectives for lessons while adapting methods to meet student interests. Pursuit School is located within the Pursuit Church facility near downtown Snohomish, WA, and is a part of the Pursuit NW ministry. We offer early learning through a faith-based curriculum and are excited to serve our community with our hearts and passion for Kingdom-led education.

Resourcefulness with substitute teaching by provide curriculum and other materials to provide children. Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order through indirect guidance principles. Help establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to children while adapting teaching methods and materials to meet varying student interests. Monitor student behavior and assist in maintaining an orderly classroom atmosphere for the purpose of providing an optimum learning environment. Perform positive behavior support and management. Work with students individually and /or in small groups on specific learning tasks and objectives. Know and follow the health, safety, and emergency procedures of the school. Work cooperatively and communicate successfully with staff, students, and parents. Demonstrate a commitment to the education of all children. Observe strict confidentiality regarding student and personnel information. Demonstrate professionalism through conduct, and punctuality.
